From a posting I made elsewhere:

The Hypertech is a good product but the Superchips MicroTuner has leap frogged ahead of it. The programmer III comes with a 50 HP program. For the diesel, it does not let you modify shift points, top speed, rev, etc. The Microtuner has the same limitation.

The Hypertech has one power level, the Microtuner has two.

The Hypertech is year specific, the Microtuner is good for all years. If you get a newer year truck you need to get a new Hypertech. With the tuner the odds are good that it will have the code you need already in it and if it doesn't there is a procedure in the paperwork to get the code added.

No code is needed for the Microtuner. It plugs in, reads it, and programs for whatever code you have. Simply fill in the order form and we'll get one sent out that day or the next.
