My floor pan went in not too bad after all, I think my expectations were a little high. The thing that bugged me most was the stamping for the cab mounts was messed up but now it is in it looks OK. I posted some pictures in my gallery on the cab restoration, have a look and I would appreciate any comments as this is the first time I have attempted something like this.
From the pictures in your gallery I'd say you do nice work. It's like any DIY project; you'll know where the imperfections are but nobody else will look that closely. I replaced my floor with 14 ga steel. not perfectly but better than it was. Is that a fibreglass tranny cover plate? I'm going to have to fab mine up to cover AOD I've used.
What did you use to remove right cowl; 1/4" spot weld cutter as well as zip cut or saw?
Thanks for you comments, you are right, I will know where the imperfections are and overall it is looking pretty good. I removed the cowl with a spot weld cutter, payes to buy a good one of these, and my air cutting wheel that cuts skin better than steel. I bought the one cowl panel to make sure the quality was good and it is OK, the other should be here next week.
