Never heard of it before.

Many use the Fumoto drain valve (pics in my gallery under "oil stuff").

Let us know what it looks like installed and how it works.

The Fumoto was the one I was looking for, but he didn't have it in stock, so he asked me to try this one. The hose attachment just threads on to the plug and pushes up a valve inside letting the oil drain through the hose. It looks like it should work. Next oil change I will give her a try and take some pics.

Ford and Int'l dealers do not sell the Fumoto valve.

Try dieselsite.com to order one (there are others).

Again... let us know how it works out.

From the Femco website... here is info and a picture.

When should you use a FEMCO COMPACT® drain plug system?

For equipment with limited space or when ground clearance may be a problem, FEMCO COMPACT SYSTEM provides a solution.

* Simply replace the factory fitted plug. No special tools needed.

* Remove the dustcap, which keeps the threads clean.

* Thread the drainer onto the drain plug to activate the system.

* Hot oil drains quickly and safely by GRAVITY or SUCTION.

* Remove the drainer, replace the dustcap.

* Full range of sizes and thread patterns: metric, UNF, UNC, UNS, BSP, BSW, NPT, etc. Custom sizes available.

I bought one for my GMC Transmission drain. It worked fine and never leaked.

Thanks for the info Beachbumcook. It looks like it could work fairly well. I am up for an oil change in a couple weeks, so I'll post some pics and info when done....dg

They come OEM on our Mustang loaders with Jap diesels engine...never had a problem with them or heard of any. only thing i dont like about them is takes forever to thread the hose on fully and even then only a little stream comes out...so if the oil isnt good and hot you could be there for days....

Thats where I knew I seen them before but couldn't pinpoint it. They were on several floor motors, pump motors etc, Series 60, for heavy equipment applications. Never heard of any problems with them.
