I tried the sawsall.....The only blade I had long enough to reach in there was a demo blade and was instantly dulled by the top stud.
I ended up only getting one side on, and I f'd up the other side so bad I had to take it to a shop and have it torched off.
Hopefully the Bilsteins will last longer than the Edelbrocks the previous owner had on there did.
Only about 50K miles on the Edelbrocks and the rears were pretty weak, and rusted so bad, one side actually blew out.
I was pretty close to getting the hole saw out to cut a hole in the bed!
Not exactly one of Ford's better ideas....

cut in my bed directly over the top of each shock.
I takes no time at all to remove the top nuts.
