Power Steering pump going out???
Truck has 21k miles on it, and is lifted on 37's The truck had been doing fine; over the weekend I took it off road and did a little playing. Never went through any thing more than 1~2 inches deep water wise. Only thing I did do was cut some donuts, figure 8's, and do some power slides. All of that was in 2wd. At the end of one of the cuts I had a hard time steering to the left then it seemed ok. Got back on the road and the brakes felt strange; kindof pulsing feeling in the pedal. Then when you turn the steering wheel the pump makes a loud noise. If you are braking and turning it becomes very hard to steer. This is more on left turns than right turns. But does it on both. No brakes, or on the gas and turning it seems fine. Just when you load and bog it down it doesnt work like it use to.
I cant find anything lose, bent, or with water/mud in it. Under the hood, and under the truck didnt really get dirty at all.
Could I have stressed the power steering pump that much cutting the 37's bakc and forth that it hurt it?
