There should be plenty of people who have run them. Kits are common place enough that I would recommend using it a kit rather than piecing one together. NOS, NX, Zex, edelbrock and the rest. I like NX over the rest, but they are all pretty much the same.
I would say safety is paramount, so you would need an arm switch, fuel pressure switch and WOT switch. Other than that, a tank, lines, solenoids, some type of injection (plate or fogger) and the options of your choising like purge valves, bottle heaters or a wet system(fuel and nitrous). The idea is to only pump nitrous in while the motor can make more RPMs, mostly during WOT. You will also want the system to kick out if the fuel pressure drops off, nitrous breaks down into oxygen at cylinder temps and can cause an extreme lean condition, which is why the higher power kits are wet.
As I have learned recently, alot of kits are tapping the fuel pressure test port so you don't have to replumb the fuel system. If you want to make more than say 60hp, I would highly suggest adding fuel and nitrous.
ya i would definetly go with the arming switch and the WOT switch and i dont want a high power jet because it will also be turbocharged on an almost stock motor. i was just thinking of having nitrus for alittle more fun on demand
