99 f-250 door lock problem

hey all i just bought a 99 f-250 4x4 but it seems its having some issues with the power door locks. i hit the botton and i can hear the locks trying to go down but it seems like their stuck. if i hit the botton enough times one lock eventually goes down into lock position. my keyless entry keyring thing does the same thing. both the passenger and the drivers door are the same way. anyone know of a way to fix this? thanks ryan

You probably need new door lock actuators. They are famous for going bad.

really? on both sides? that seems weird. how much do they run?

I am not sure, but the labor is outrageous to get them replaced because you have to take the whole door apart.
