Bed for a 78
My truck had a flat bed on it when I bought it, but I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what years will fit. Just the 73-79? I know where an 82 is at will it fit? I kinda like the old flare side beds but I'd just like to get a regular bed back on it for a fairly cheap price.

I have a '83 bed on my '79. It fits on the truck fine, but you will need to drill holes in the frame to mount it because the bolt holes will not line up. You can't really drill new mounting holes in the bed to match the exising holes in the frame because the supports for the bed floor will be in the wrong place.
I switched my bed over because the factory bed was so rusted it was about to fall off, and I found this one cheaply. Like I said, it works, but looks kinda strange.
Where are you located? I have a 78 bed that is currently off the truck, and I may not need it. The bed isn't perfect it needs body work and paint. send me a private message if you are interested.
