Where is my computer?

I have a 94 F-150 4x4 super cab and have been searching for many hours trying to find where the computer is located or even the ECU code. I just installed headers and a K&N filter and would love to get the chip installed so the check engine ligth will go off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bob

Where is my computer?

On the drivers side, under dash area, behind the kick panel . Look for a small silver box about 1 1/2 inches thick, 8 inches wide and about 10 inches long. The code will be on it or on the wiring harness going into it.

Where is my computer?

Thanks Ken I finally found it. Another question for you, I have read the tech article on removing the computer through the firewall and was wondering which is easier? It does look like removing the huge bracket that holds the parking brake is fairly involved. Any suggestions?

Where is my computer?

Its best to pull it out through the passenger compartment from a clearance standpoint. Unfortunately, the Superduty trucks are one of the harder Ford's to remove the computer from. If you want, I can email instructions with photos.

Where is my computer?

Ken,

I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me the instructions and photos. My email address is rhenry@paonline.com. Many, Many Thanks

I guess once I get ready to pull the computer I will need to probably give you a call to see what chip I should order.
