ken, i have a 92 ford f-150, about 6000 on new engine, i just got done with a 6 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body, and am going to put 38's on, i have true duals, hedders, no cats, i have the k&n, but i want to know the basics about the chips that are offered, can you give me any ideas on what to look for for power gains...email me or leave me a message here. thank you for any help you will be able to give me

What size is the engine? How much is it bored over stock? Compression ratio? Any and all info you can give me about the engine would help me to better determine this.

302, i believe it hasn't been bored, i bought it through napa, so i beleive it is back to stock specs, uhmmmm...if you have other things you need to know tell me. thanks again

If its been rebuilt the odds are slim that its stock bore. Once the cylinder walls wear, you can't bring them back to original. Do you have any paperwork that came with it?

thats the thing, my father and i were curious about that too, but there was no specs in the paperwork, just warrenty issues really, and the break in procedure....
let me look into that more i will talk to the guys at napa were i got it (also were i work)
one other question, will a programmer, like hypertec, or power programmer work on mine?

There isn't a Hypertech programmer for 92, just a Hypertech chip. I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't work but keep in mind that Hypertech only gives a horsepower increase at wide open throttle. We could carry them, but this is the primary reason we don't. Who drives their truck with the pedal to the floor all the time?
