My auto-on headlights wait too long to come on. Seems everyone else on the road has lights on while I wait for mine. (Sure, I can use manual, but well, you know….)
I’m thinking if it’s a photocell that I can access, maybe I could partially tape it out, or put a smoky film over to make it think the day is darker? I wonder where it is?
The sensor is located on top of the dash ,center, next to the glass, looks like a plastic mound. I used my manual to turn on the lights, when i wanted to find mine. Dark film will help, try all sorts of things until you are happy.
As I stated....

BTW- Thanks to pbjohns... the tape works, but I need to find something a little lighter. Next try is magic marker red over a bit of clear tape.
Also thinking of trying aluminum foil tape with a small slit.
