Works every time? Well, the Superchips works 99% of the time assuming your computer code is correct and your vehicle has isn't one of the few with a missing power jumper. Diablo works 95% of the time, 99% of the time on the second programming --- mainly due to its more agreesive programming.
Ease of installation? Diablo is the winner here. No clearance problems like the Superchips has with the Explorer/Ranger.
Power? Diablo wins
More sensitive to gas quality? Diablo... make sure you use really good gas with Diablo. You'll get a feel after a while for which brands it likes best.

No.

What size engine? 4.0?

Nope, pretty much "set it and forget it". :-)
