I drove down to Tiger Paw auto today to price out a Visor for the windshield of my 77 Ranger and a confrotable set of bucket seats. Oh my god.
The sun visor costs around $300 bucks, not bad, but after the $220 to get it painted and $180 for the installlation, thats $700 bucks! What is this world coming too.
Thats not even the bad part. I already have an aftermarket bench seat in my truck that I would like to swap out for bucket seats. The same brand as whats in my truck, only bucket seats cost, get this, $1700. *throws up hands and turns away* Might as well use that money to buy some new heads for my engine and use the left overs to buy some bucket seats from the auto wreaker.
And if anyone has a Visor for a 73-79 truck, give me a call.
Do you mean Tiger Automotive? I haven`t never heard of Tiger Paw yet.
All these places are the same, over priced so I quit going to them years ago.
I had these very same thoughts.
Oops, yeah Tiger Automotive. The orange place on 51st street. Way to expensive.
And still very interested in a visor for a 73-79 ford F series. Any color. Even if you know of a local salvage yard that has one, I'm very interested. I've looked at a couple and no visors what so ever so far.
I used to have a connection at tiger too, even with a huge discount, stuff was way overpriced. The neat thing about them though, is they can get pretty much anything you ever need.
