valve job

I just dropped off the heads ('69 351W) to my Bronco at the machine shop. I was asking the guy if I should have anything else done to them while they are there. He said other than hardened valve seats I shouldn't need anything but a standard valve job. I asked about screw-in rocker arm studs and guide plates and he said it really wouldn't be worth the extra cash unless I was going to run it really hard.

What do you guys think?

if it's in a truck I would install the seats...leave the rest alone..you should be ok. the fuel of today dose not have any lead in it and there for you need hardened exhaust seat installed, later heads have them hardened....

....unless you're planning on running a cam with a lot of lift and big spring pressures, what Hemi said.

What do you guys think would be a safe top RPM for this engine? I'm not one to abuse the equiptment but like to get on it once in a while (when chicks are watching)
