Back drivers side corner sounds more like brake master cylinder area.
What color is it ??
I think its brown its hard to teel on a blue paint but both of the fluids need changed and the brake fluid has plenty in it. Im starting to wounder if someone over filled them

Possibility that overfilling might have happened.
Wipe it with your finger and give it is sniff.
Either that or use a paper towel.
The color of the fluid will identify it.
Red - Either tranny or PS fluid
Clear to Yellow - Brake fluid
Brown - OLD tranny or PS fluid, OLD Coolant
If the fluid is mostly isolated to the driverside-rear portion of the engine compartment then my vote is also for brake fluid. That is where the master cylinder is located and I just don't see how any other fluid could spray and ONLY hit that area.
If so, check the cruise control switch (don't know the proper term for it right now) but it's located on the driver's side just in front of the master cylinder. It'll have wires coming out of it. In some cases it will seep brake fluid and will cause the cruise to quit working. Don't know if it would leak enough to spray though. Worst case it will start a fire under the hood, whether the truck is running or not!
Ford had a recall on this not too long ago. Don't know what year your truck is, but the recall was pretty wide spread and most likely you're covered. If it is leaking, disconnect it and go see a Ford dealer. They will replace it no charge with a new unit, with an inline fuse, that won't leak. HTH

Just had mine replaced this past Feb.
After looking back at this, I smacked myself for not thinking of that.
Good call!! I forgot about that too. I had my recall taken care of as soon as I bought my truck several months back. Immediately after that there was a thread on here from a guy whose truck got burnt to a crisp. Anyone who hasn't had this taken care of, DO IT!
The only time I've had fluid sprayed on my hood was power steering fluid from turning the wheels while the engine was off. There is a little vent in the cap, and it may have not been enough fluid to notice a drop in the level.
You can use the Recalls/TSBs tab at the top of this website to search your year and model truck for any recalls or TSBs (technical service bulletins... like a recall but not as serious, nor free to replair).
the truck does have cruise and is an automatic. I had the recall done already but I will look at that switch but my guess is that it is from turning the wheels with the motor off because I do that alot
I feel it is best to be rolling when turning the weels on anything to increase the life of everything from tires to steering column. What is the purpose for turning wheels when engine is off in your case? Just curious...
