I'm going to pick up a 97 F350 Dually PSD that I'm buying. What is the absolute best repair manual I should invest in? I'm sure this is the first of numerous questions so be patient with me. I do almost all my own auto repair on our 98 Volvo and 98 Altima but have never owned a diesel or big truck. Will this truck weigh more than a Volvo wagon? Just joking.
your best manuals are these awesome websites.thier are plenty on powerstrokes.all you have to do is search or ask a question,we will be happy to help.you wont regret your puchase and you will be hooked from here on out.
I checked it out for you and indeed it is close but the Volvo outweighs these trucks by 128 pounds. j/k. I agree with the comments by these FTE pros. Coming right here and studying and searching will enable you to keep your truck in TipTop and it will ELIMINATE the mystery of owning and maintaining a diesel daily driver. Even if it dies dead quickly, just get it back to your home and we can help you get it back up and running in no time. Don't ever panic and have it towed to a shop. Most shops are inadequate when it comes to working on these trucks!!!!! With a little bit of time and flexibility and study right here you can be your own mechanic.
Those are three very good vehicles that you have. The volvo and the Ford are unusual in today's market in that almost everything on them has been designed and built to be serviced rather than just replaced when a problem develops. When I have a problem with my Fords or my Volvos, I don't just automatically replace parts. I diagnose and service, even down to dismantling switches and re-soldering contacts and restoring most mechanical parts. And talk about great availability of good parts in junk yards.

I agree this is by far the best manual any amount of money can buy. Only one problem if stranded on the highway you can't open the book. Just have to have laptop with you and walk to nearest Starbucks or motel and "borrow" their i-net. I have used my blackberry on occasion but is very slow and timeconsuming but I guess it may work in a pickle.
That is a bummer. I am not sure where you are in TN but if it is E-TN and need help with anything at all PM or e-mail me or just ask here. I may be able to help. BTW What are you looking for? Looks like a dually, does that matter? What size cab? Also I will assume that you will have nothing other than a PSD, At least that better be the case,LOL. I will keep my eyes open for ya dude. I assume that you also want an OBS since that is the only good looking truck left.
