I have seen their office and held their unit and it is well built. However, their return oil line is not as simple and efficient as the Oil Guard unit.

In my gallery are pics of my Racor brand oil by-pass filter install and the Oil Guard is the same. I personally would go with Oil Guard or Racor's oil by-pass system. Check out Oil Guard's website for some very good info.

After I change oil and filters, I leave the "oil return line" loose so I can see the oil drain back into and down the oil fill-tube. This way I know the system is pressurized and working. With the FS2500 you can not see this (unless they have updated their system).

Good luck,

Their set-up (filter and housing) is built like a tank as it gets used on high-pressure hydrolic systems as well as lube oil.

Does the oil return line go into the oil pan or have their redigned their system to "return" the oil to the oil fill tube?

my X is 7.3 and returns into the block near the engine oil filter ( factory) , the pick-up is from a outlet on the filter bracket itself. it looks like a clean unit.
will post pics when done.

If I remember correctly, the 7.3L install is cleaner and a safer install than they designed for the 6.0L.
