That is a funny and interesting way to go about that. Run a start/stop biodiesel tank and wvo tank and switch..ha ha ha the oil companies would be ping mad at that. Homemade bio a buck, wvo for running priceless (junk). Talk about reducing your cost even more. Our sponser here should get a chuckle from that idea. Good one Bigguns.
I should have clarified myself....
When I ment Bio in the main tanks, our Southern States here sells B5. I was meaning B-- or petro diesel in the main tanks and WVO in a separate tank.
I run blends too, crank on bio and switch to 2/3 veggie oil 1/3 bio, with a heated fuel filter. No problems in the past 11 months. and before any one says it IF YOU GET NON HYDROGENATED OILS, NO SHORTENING OR LARD, THE WVO AND BIO AND/OR #2 WILL NOT SEPERATE. Before I tried this, I got a mason jar of WVO and #2, shook it together about 50/50, and the blend sits on my porch 11 months later and has not seperated. In the winter time I use 50/50 bio/#2, then as it warms up I gradually switch to 100% bio and then eventually to 2/3 veggie, 1/3 bio.
I tried the mixing some of my bio with some of the WVO I have, it took it less than 24hrs to seperate, the next time I drained my fuel filter to change it I put some of that into a jar (at that time I was running B50) added some WVO and it was seperated by the next morning so I really not sure how you are keeping it from not seperating unless the bio your mixing it with is really low conversion because I can't keep it mixed.
