I was wondering if anyone has used Evans Waterless Coolant. I'm thinking about trying it in my truck. It seems like a good way to prevent cavitation. But I'm not sure if the 6 gallons at $30 bucks each is worth it. I can buy alot of additive and test strips for that much money.
I've been reading about it and I like the fact that it has a boiling point of 370 degrees, so if the motor gets hot (a diesel works better the hotter it gets, to a point) you don't need to worry as much, you'd just need to watch the oil temp. I'm thinking about using some so I can run electric fans and if they don't cool quite enough it won't be a problem. You do need to clean out all the water from the entire cooling system and carry some extra in case you need to top it off. May be worth a try.
I tried it
It didnt work for me.
The coolant temps were higher than previous and oil temp was still high.
I tried it in a 96 Corvette that was built to a 396.
ITS ONLY MONEY!!!?? lol man you rich guys have it all. i mean sheesh i dont even have 30 $ right now tell me if it works out good for you. if it does i might just try it

Maybe I should have said "If I can get it past my accountant!".
