I'm assuming you're talking about your PCM -- the PCM is located in a plastic bracket by the parking brake pedal. You can read it with an inspection mirror & flashlight or pull it out. There are instructions around (and even a video) on the web about how to do it, but all you do is unscrew the 10mm bolt in the engine compartment & unplug the wiring harness (MAKE SURE YOUR KEY IS NOT IN THE IGNITION!), take out the two 7mm screws holding the braket & PCM in truck, and wiggle it out. Takes about 5 minutes. The sticker is on the end and is 3 letters & a number. Mine was "VDH2".
