91' Front Disk Brakes Getting Hot
I remember 20 years ago I had all kinds of issues with my front brakes heating up on my 67' Galaxie. Turned out in the end after replacing everything (drums, pads, calipers, M/C) the brake hoses were starting to plug off which no longer let the brake pressure bleed completely causing the shoe to drag a bit on the drum and heat up.
Well, I have replaced everything (rotors, pads, calipers, M/C) on my 91' F350 in the last couple of months and the darn front brakes were getting pretty hot after about a hour of driving with all the new brake parts.
Finally changed the hoses and tubing between the calipers and the M/C this weekend and now everything is running nice and cool the way it should.
So do yourself a favour, next time you do your brakes on one of these older trucks, change those hoses while you are at it. The two hoses were only $CDN 50.00 and could have saved me from scaring the wits out of a pedestrian last week when the darn truck almost would not stop because the front brakes were so hot they wouldn't brake properly.

The booster was replaced by the guys I bought the truck from. They had spend an insane amount of brake work and never did solve the problem.
Checked the brakes after my hourly morning drive this morning and everything stayed nice and cool.
Thanks again, a sticking booster due to leaking brake fluid could also cause the dragging and heating up.
As you know these problems can really drive you crazy and I sure was glad to get rid of it once I got down to the root of the problem.
