Most if not all who have used B codes have modified them with one or more extra leaves from the original EX spring pack which effectively increases their rate.
I'm one who didn't modify the B's before I bolted them on.
I'm happy with them so far.
I did put a bigger block in the rear though, to give the stance an ever so slight rake.
I am looking at a 24' right now. I might have to rethink this after seeing your 26', it's way too long to park in front of my house. The neighbors would castrate me!
I sure hope you can pull it. I have a 27 BHSS Wildwood TT and have no problems. I been on several trips with it behind my V10. Every once and a while I have to look in the mirror to make sure it is still back there. These Excursion sure pull with no problems. I don't have a tranny temp gauge so i cheek at the end of every Camping trip the color and smell of the trans fluid. Yes i know it is to late at that point but as i said no problems yet. I also have the trans fluid change and flushed at the begining of the tow season.
Happy Camping!!
Re tranny temps, I saw about a 20 degree decrease in temps when I changed from the Ford fluid to Lubrication Engineers Monolec Ultra (Allison C4 type) hydraulic fluid. I've seen similar temp decreases in my heavy equipment when using this same fluid.
I'm not associated with LE - just have had very good success using their products. In my '03 6.0 PSD, the engine oil would not even blacken up between oil changes with LE.
Oh, I had no problems pulling that baby. Because of Jody's tunes, the only thing that held me back from driving "normal" (hard on the pedal to get up to freeway speed, lickity-split) was because i know my tranny is the weak link.
Heh heh heh, even then, I couldn't resist a moderate burst in 80 econo, pulling out onto a flat stretch of highway, to see how well the Ex responded. And oh, it responded very nicely!

BHSS = Bunk House Super-Slide?

Boy howdy! Aint that the truth!
One thing I realized after pouring over the specs, the salesman said my TT was a 26 footer, and the model is a 26FK, but the specs state the box size as 28' 9". So I measured and sure enough, I have a 28 footer. I guess it's closer to 29' though.
I looked up the specs on your 27BHSS and while I assumed yours was a 27 footer, the specs show a box size of 25' 4".
I was always under the impression the number in the model referred to the size of the trailer. I guess my salesman did too! LOL.
O' crap!! i thought i paid for 27 feet. Any ways we like our little retreat It fits our family of four and 2 dogs with no problem. But still the Excursion pulls this down the road with no problem. As far as my 8' trailer with two dirt bikes hooked to the Excursion it likes not having anything back there. One good thing I have yet to max the tow specs at this time. O by the way from the tounge to the spare is just short of 29 feet, and the box is 25' 8'' my son had to prove this to me smart a **
Have a great day!!!!
o what the heck, it is still fun to get on the on ramp for the interstate and look at cars pulling over to make room as you fly by them with the Excursion and a trailer behind, I like the jaw drop as if they are in disbelief !! and me and the family with a "BSEG"
