pulling tranny

I need help removing the tourque converter from the fly wheel. any body know what size nut it is. any tips to turn the fly wheel?

95 ford explorer
4.0 v6
4x4 bw 1354

If ford is true to form, it should be a 1/2" , or a 9/16", it has been quite a few years since I was under a car. To move the flywheel,I have an old tool that i use, looks like a spanner wrench. You can use a flat blade screwdriver or a brake adj tool. Takes longer, but it will work. Good luck.

You could always leave the torque converter bolted up and pull the transmission out of it, but be prepared for a BIG MESS! haha good luck!

Oldblue,were you talking about Mazda, or my sugestion? Were you able to turn the flywheel? If not, you will need to take it out of gear, might have a tranny lock. Let me know how you come out.
