I just removed the throttle plate fron the intake elbow on my 04 PSD. There was a puddle of oil laying in the bottom of the intake tube. Is this normal ? My modified lightning truck used to do the same thing. How do I resolve this problem. My truck has 440 RWHP and 700 ft-lbs torque

Yep, this is normal. The Crankcase Ventilation is piped in just ahead of the turbo cold air inlet. So after time the CAC tubes and intercooler get oil in them. It can also seap out at the boots and drip onto the top of the engine.
If you go to the Tech folder in the 6.0 forum there is a write-up by Matt on how to re-route the Crankcase Ventilation to the atmosphere. By the way the closed system crankcase ventilation is required by the EPA and has been on gassers for years (ie pcv) http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/28...rerouting.html
FYI if you post your 6.0 questions in the 6.0 forum you will get a faster response to your questions and many times the answers are already there in previous posts, the search function is your friend.
