Well, it started acting up again after leaving Co Springs going up to Strausburg, just East of Denver.
by Kwikkordead..I see you have fixed your tank pickup so that eliminates a clogged filter.
Well I got to thinking back when I did the mods in the tank, guess what? I didn't take the pickup screen out. I did everything but that. I was going to but didn't .
The background: I built an aluminum fuel tank for my bed a year or two ago. Dummy me used a couple of pieces of scrap aluminum for the baffles that had been painted black, I didn't take the paint off. Biodiesel and paint do not mix. When I left I put about 60 gallons of homebrew in with about 40 gallon of petro. Guess what, you guessed it, the paint came off and clogged the screen in the pickup. I pumped the fuel out of the tank in Salina, Ks. last Wednesday morning at the campground and dropped the tank. Cleaned the tank out and pulled the screen out of the pickup.
by Kwikkordead..Did you put a pre-filter between the pump and the tank?
There is one there now!! I just wish I had figured this out earlier, it would have prevented a lot of stress on me!
I still think the EOT sensor was not reading correct, but maybe not, don't know!
Well I just thought I would let everyone know, as Paul Harvey says... the rest of the story.
