only have 2 things left, make/modify a throttle cable and start tuning/testing/driving......... i guess they are 2 big things.....
But, it does start, idle and run fine (same vaccum reading as with only 1 carb)
the progressive linkage works, i'll can't wait to drive and see what the extra carbs really do
VERY COOL! I'm working on a tripower setup on an old 215. I'll be running 3 glass bowl Holleys on mine.
Goodluck with the build, be sure to keep us posted.
nice i really like the glass bowls, i have an older 250 with one, wish you could find them lying around like YF's
Oh, i don't know if you all can see the vaccum guage, but the engine is running in both pictures.
i think i'm most happy with how smooth it idles........(for now)
Looks good. A set of EFI exhaust manifolds would be great to have on there. Or do you have the stock exhaust manifold bolted up to the modified intake for heat?
ridgerider; i won't call you crazy. but i do get call crazy myself, i just got used to it....
Eddiec1564; i made the carb spacer out of "pnenolic material" i think i spelled it wrong. if you look in a "Summint racing or JEGS" type catalog, it's the same material used for the spacers designed to keep heat transfer to the carb down.
kind of like a wood/glue composite, but it's not damaged by fuel.
also is easy to work with..........
just joined photo bucket, going to try and link a picture...... thats alittle bigger so you get a good look.
Old-School Six-Shooter - A Triple Two-barrel Induction with Nostalgic Appearance
Phenolic is another one of those great products that we got from the Aerospace industry. Had the stuff all over the place on the old F-4 Phantoms I used to work on. Great heat barrier, and anti-vibration stuff!
