Ford 9"
Will a ford 9" 3rd member from an early model bronco(Small style 66-77) fit my 9" assembly in my 84 F-150, are they the same splines?
also it has 3.50(he sais) but didn't all fords come with 3.55's??
can someone please give me the years with the different spline counts??
28 or 31??

Finally somebody is using this page. No. There is a plethora of gear sizes for the 9". I have a 71 with 3:50 trac lok. some had 4:10 stock. I don't have the list with me but I would believe the guy. Also bronco 9" came with a 28 spline. Not sure about your truck.

i own a 76 bronco and have done some research on the rears they have. first, the early models 60's-75 had 28 spline, in 76 changed to 31 spline most v-8's had 3.50 gears, (only the spicer type rears had 3.55's)and the 6 cyl models had the steeper gears.....cant remember but could be 4 something. for more info. goto bronco.com, they specialize in early broncos and have ALOT! of info and specs. that could help.
