when i got this FE ,the lad did,nt know anything about it, bought it ,brought it home (truck & motor $200 ). threw it into my 82, this motor had some work done i,m sure , lumpy idle, really kicks in at 3500 rpm , 750 holley. while checkin TDC . i noticed pistons seemed to be domed. truck will not run on reg. fuel. now that i got 2 yrs on it ,i think she,s tired , needs rebuild. what i,m lookin for is block ID , so i can get proper parts. i always thought it was 76 390 but after checkin some #,s i think its a 66 390.well anyways heres some #,s please correct me if i,m wrong.

All the 352/360/390 blocks will have 352 on them. it's the basic block for these engines. D5TE = 1975; C6ME = 1966. 6K27 = October 27, 1966. A block cast in 10/1966 would be used in a 1967 and maybe later vehicle, not a 1966. C7AE = 1967. No 360/390's in F Series trucks till 1968.
