Excursion Rear Barn doors question .....

I have a 2002 Excursion Limited. I removed the side badges and now want to remove the rear badges. I know that the rear 'Excursion' badge has alignment holes in the 'Fiberglass' door. My question is how do I fill these holes? Go from the inside and put a fiberglass strip/layer for strength? Then fill in the hole from the outside with bondo (I Hate Bondo, but these are small bolt holes)? Prime and paint?
