RSX shock rust

I bought rancho rsx adjustable shocks 2y ago after hearing about them from some of the posters. they're excellent shocks but after two michigan winters they're showing some external rust. Is this anything to worry about? I would think the shocks would last longer than 2 years......
any opinions would be appreciated.

rust will ruin the seal on the shock tube it may take awile. i dont think ranco will warrenty it because of the rust. but that depands and the seller you got them through.
