I have RSX's on my superduty and I like 'em just fine. They were a big change from the stockers and I would say worth the money. You may want to do some reading on Bilsteins as they seem to be the replacement shock of choice on FTE but I think the RSX is a good shock too.
i have them, so far i like them. i can tell an improvement over stock. i had it down to the RSX or the Bilsteins as well, price was the desiding factor.
I am looking at a set of rancho RSX to replace my current procomp shocks
Both of these are made by Tenneco. Rancho is a brand name of Tenneco and Pro-Comps are private labeled.
I've got RSX9000's on mine. 9 levels of adjusment but in reality, it's hard to tell the difference from even the 1 setting to the 9 setting. I guess I'm just somewhat satisfied with them. I'd like to try a set of Bilsteins to compare the difference.
Yep. That's why the Ranchos on FX4's are stamped 'Motorcraft' on the bottom. Search the threads for FX4 or Monroe engr. Some really good info regarding Rancho.
Summit Racing still has buy 3 get 1 free on RSX and RS9000 shocks. Just ordered 4 RSXs. This probably makes them cheaper than the Monroe Reflexes or maybe about the same price. Mine were $199 shipped but I had to get an OEM replacement (RS5000) steering stabilizer, also. Combine mud, deep ruts, and huge chunks of ice and you end up with a steering stabilizer shaped kind of like a horse shoe... Oh well. Just my 2 cents.
I have an F-250 4x4 5.4 auto and will be putting an 8' plow on the front - just wondering if stiffer shocks would be best for it or adding a leaf spring (I'm new to the truck world - so any information would be greatly appreciated)
PS - Sorry for changing the subject

You might want an adjustable shock for the front, like the Rancho 9000. You can stiffen them up when you have the plow, and loosen them up in the summer.
