My curise control servo is bad on my 93 5.0 with auto and 2WD. The dealer says that this part is no longer available. Anyone know which cars or trucks, years and options I should look for to be a donor? I don't know if an interchange manual covers electrical parts.

It looks like a 93 - 96 F-series would work if the plugs are the same.
The one in my 92 parts truck is same as my 94 . I took it out today .So any 90's truck should work . Van looks about same but I never paid attention to them.

The 92-shop manual shows a Vacuum controlled system and 93-96 is electrical controlled system. Are you sure your parts truck is a 92?
Sorry its a newer style 92 (early 93) . Its the same . I got 1 if you can't find one. just PM me. its the electrical and has cables to top in take that mount by brake booster.Right?
This will be the first time I replaced it in 227,000. It works except for the disengauge from the brake light switch. It won't disengauge the cruise until you put enough pedal to build brake pressure. The trouble shooting steps say to replace the servo if there is a good signal at the pin going to the servo.
The brake pressure switch is a back up if the brake light switch fails. There is a good signal from the brake light switch to the pin going into the servo. The manual says replace the servo at this point.
I am also looking for a replacement servo, and the dealer wants $380.00, any ideas about differnces across motors? Any suspicions that a unit from a 92-96 F150 w/ auto would not work for my 94 F250 5.8 w/ auto.
the servo just drives the throttle plate w/ the signal from the control unit in a big feedback loop, right?
Iv got a 93 4.9 that the cruise just stopped working on. I have a feeling the brake light switch never worked on mine because i could hit the brakes lightly and it wouldnt kill the cruise control. Anyways, where should i start, Switchs in the steering wheel or at the servo, or both. Or the VSS. I probubly should start my own thread. But ill try here first.
