I tried this in the suspension forum, but didn't get a reply, so I thought I would try here. would anyone have a pic of a single shock steering stabilizer. I'm going to be up sizing the tires on my 87 f150 4x4, and was wondering where to mount the steering stabilizer shock. would sure appreciate it! thanks.
Thanks, but I'm looking to see where it attaches to each end, its probably pretty elementry, But I'm not the best mechanic.
Well... you got me beat, I'm not a mechanic at all. :)
Those pictures show where mine attaches.
It came from the factory without a steering stabilizer.
I made the bracket for one end and just drilled a hole for the other end.
I should take another picture of the bracket... and this time not be so stinkin lazy and wipe the sucker off huh? :)
I would think the only place to mount it would be on the passenger side of the axle. but I am not sure how the end would attach to the axle and the other end to the tie rod. I know the old monobeam trucks had the axle attachment on the side close to the suspension with the other end attached so that the stablizer could compress and extend at lock to lock turning.
