I would like to get a dual stabilizer kit. I have two concerns, ground clearance and turning radius.
I want to try and get a kit that will raise the stabilizers up a little. Also I heard with some of the set ups they will bottom out a shock before hitting the bump stops.
Can anyone provide me with experience and pictures and opinions?
I've got the Topgunz dual kit with Bilstien 5100s. I love it. The two big things I noticed was that my truck now wanders very little... if any... even with the wide 35 inch mud tires, and the steering returns to center very easy after turning. Also, I previously had a dual skyjacker kit.... that hung way to low. The topgunz kit is up right in front of the tierod bar... the skyjacker kit hung down 2-3 inches below it.
This first pic was taken just seconds after the install.... minutes later I moved each boot eyelet end in about 1 inch
Nope, no problems. They give you the measurements in the instructions (which suck) on where to bolt up the outer ends of the shocks. I played around with mine and ended up putting them in closer towards the center of the truck about 1/4" on each side. When I first drove it, it felt pretty stiff but then it loosened up after a few days.... it's perfect now. Again I like how it fits up tight against the truck.
