I have the pricey edelbrock shocks, Never heard a bad comment about them. if your stab isn't leaking leave it alone unless you have bigger tires..

Shocks and Steering Stabilizer

I just put this up a few hours ago and it has been removed or I can't find it.

Can someone recommend shocks and steering stabilizer for my 03 FX4? I have done a search but would like to hear of experiences. Thanks.

Rancho steering stabilizer RS97488 if not originally equipped with a stabilizer, RS5610 if replacing original stabilizer.

Bilstines on my rock crawler. I went with a good inexpensive (89 bones) Rancho 9000 adjustables on my SD. I am very happy.

The 9000x's work great on a stock vehicle. I would have put another set on mine after the lift, but they don't make them for anything bigger than a 4" lift. I REALLY liked 'em. I had the in cab controller, but never installed it. A few bud's of mine had it and constantly had problems with air leaks and broken air lines (escpecially when it got cold)

my 2002 F-350 does not have the stabilizer shock
I see the mounting location, but the shock is missing
Do F-350 have the steering stabilizer?
I am thinking it was removed by the former owner and never replaced

All SD's have the mount on the axle housing, the mounting bracket on the drag link is not there if your truck didn't come with a stabilizer to begin with.

I'm also running the edelbrocks, with a new rancho stabilizer. I'm happy with both.

Is your '03 totally stock? Is it 2wd? or 4wd? What changes, if any, have you done to the suspension? What changes, if any, do you plan for the future? Need more info so we can steer you in the right direction (no pun intended!)...

It is an FX4 package with no changes in suspension from stock except 285 tires. No plans to make any suspension changes in the future.
