Truck won't start have replaced cps, oil sending unit and fuel pump still nothing, fuel getting to filter housing and it also will run on starting fluid till gone then dies. When turning over the tach moves and the oil pressure gauge need help really bad.
-hpop and oil to the correct level? Check engine light codes? Under Valve cover wiring ok? Batterys good? just my thoughts... Its always just one bad f-in' somthing and when you find whats wrong, it becomes one of the best days you've ever had. good luck guys!
Don't use starting fluid, WD40 is easier on the engine. Disconnect the GP's when using it. Since it runs on starter fluid it gotta be fuel related. I guess this means the IDM, HPOP and CPS are all good, but not totally ruled out.
Check the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fillter housing too. I know you have a new FP but you never know.
I'll bet it's your injector pressure regulator. Check oil in HPOP, first.
Welcome to the Ford truck enthusiast forum. Having that truck down for 5 months is a bummer but now that you're here we can help you get it back up and running in no time. Mine was down for six weeks at one time but these guys here helped me find and fix my dirty IPR.
IPR. It's on the back of the HPOP down low inside, in front of and starting to go under the fuel filter canister. There's a low pressure oil system and a high pressure oil system. This little guy reads the pressure in the high pressure oil system and then tells the injector driver module to go ahead and start firing the injectors which starts sending fuel into area where it is not getting for you. You can buy a new one or service the one that's in there. It is a matter of carefully taking it apart and cleaning it out and putting it back together and then replacing the o-rings on the outside of it that seal it into place when you re-install it.
Do not use ether anymore on this engine. It is electronic and the only thing that will make it run safely is to have all the electronic checks in range. Now let's do it. Check all your fuses! Check the oil level in your HPOP reservoir! Make sure you have fuel pumping out through the schrader valve when you are cranking the engine over! Get back to us with results!

These are all good guys and are smarter than me but if I think of something that hasn't been mentioned I will chime in. Just wanted to say welcome and good luck. I am sure it will be fixed before you know it.
just becasue it runs on starting fluid or wd does NOT mean that the HPOP is good. First things first. Check the level of your oil. Its very quick and simple. Then pull of a valve cover, check the internal wires there. They are notorious for breaking. What happenedd that the truck died last time you were driving it? That would help. does it try to start at all? Any weird smoke? Keep us posted.
first things first! f350_hauler suggested checking all the fuses! very good place to start. next double check fuses! using a test light or meter is the best way.second would checking high pressure oil pump reservoir. with all the cranking it has seen it could be empty. next check fuel pressure at schrader valve. if anybody you kow has a scanner that can run a buzz test to test the injector wiring that would be great.

I have checked all the fuses they are fine, the hpop reservoir was empty the day this happened so I filled it up and put a new oil sending unit on also. One thing I have noticed and can't figure out why is I bought 2 new batteries for it and the gauge shows that the're low and when I turn the key on and the abs light goes off the gauge goes down futher.I would like to know what all the relays are for.One other thing I really appreciate all ya'll for the advice it means alot.
I drove the truck the night before and the next morning I was goin to get hay for my horses and it sounded like it was gonna crank, then it just would spin over real fast.
IS your actual oil level low? They will not run if they get about 3/4 of a gallon low. Not enough to feed the hpop. If the hpop is empty, i would believe that if you pull your dipstick, you will see that your low there too. Put some oil in it and crank for about 10 seconds. Stop and retry. Of coarse, this is JUST if your engine oil is low. Keep us posted.

IS the HPOP level low again? Should be about an inch from the top.
The batteries will show very low because the GP's are activated. Keep the batteries on a charger during all of this. If the engine doesn't spin fast enough it won't start.
Not sure what relays you are talking about but the owners manual will have an explaination.
BTW: In my last post was all wrong, ignore it, sorry.
