Jeep Dsl

Has any one heard the good bad or the ugly on the 2.8 td they put in the liberty? going to look at one this weekend for the wife and would like to know what to look for in them. thanks

No personal experience but have heard bad things - like low mpg & performance....

and their sales reflect it...

want a small dzl ? gt a vw - solid and upgradeable !!!!

my son who has a liberty gas. Wished he had one as they got 29 MPG vs his 23 on a good day with gas. EPA made jeep redue the engine so for the new engine he doesn't have any info.

thanks for the imput. I did some checking on a jeep board last night and it don't look good. EGR valve,VVT ect. sounds like they had all the problems of the 03 6.0 but only used the engine 2 years so the bugs never got worked out. Looks like I will have to start a new search. Does anyone know of a small SUV that has a diesel option.

that would be a good good combo but the wife would never go for it. Car seats in a jeep are not her idea of fun. Having a hard enough time talking her in to dsl but gas prices are helping my cause.
