Steering wheel Nibble/shimmy question???
I have the Fabtech lift and experience steering wheel nibble/shimmy when turning slightly to the right at highway speeds. I have BFG mud tires on it and wonder an aggressive tire is the problem with the rack and pinion. Just wondering if there is a way someone has fixed it other than the steering stabilizer. If you have the steering stabilizer will the steering wheel still return to center on its own after a turn or do you have to help it.

I never had a problem with the steering nibble when I had the OEM 18" Lariet rims and B.F Goodrich Long Trail T/A (I think) tires. I wanted the FX4 rims, though, and I found a good deal on some takeoffs. The FX4 comes standard with the B.F. Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires, a bit larger diameter than the Lariet, and certainly stiffer sidewalls. Now I have the nibble! Since I know it is just more feedback through the steering wheel than the other tires, I'm not worried about it. I'll just get a more street-worthy tire when these wear out...
I don't know if everyone's nibbling comes down to the BFG All Terrain tires, but unless the takoff rims are out of round, that has to be it on mine.
