Got my Edge Evo II last week. I installed it without hassle, but had to use the picture in the .pdf manual to be able to see where to install the pyro probe as the manual picture was too poor.

So far it works as advertized, but I haven't got the guts to flash the pcm as i now have e-mailed tech support 3 times on minor issues with no response! I don't really need them now but what if I flash the pcm and have some real issues. Until I find out if they are able to provide support (if I need it) I'll just monitor the stock profile for a while.

Has anybody else had this problem with Edge?

 

You need to call them up, alot of people have had trouble contacting them through email.....but when they call they end up getting ahold of them.

Mine works good. No problems.

 

I had issues with the cable but they were very helpful and overnighted the parts. If you call them, you won't be on hold for very long. I was very impressed with their customer service. I called them rather than email.

I love mine so far and run it on the 100hp/200tq all the time. I will only tow on level 1 or maybe 2. I have had no issues other than the cable. I love it.

 

Have also recently installed this unti and am on my 3rd cable. Pyro didn't work on the first, believe the electronics in the OBDII connector smoked on the second. Have been running the 3rd for about 3 weeks so far. Has failed to turn on twice, holding my breath, but they do have cable problems to resolve.

Spoke with Jody about getting some of his tunes installed; cost is $130 +$30 per tune. Holding off for now until I'm convinced the unit is stable.

 

Well since you are supposed to be able to reach Edge by phone (e-mail hasn't worked) I flashed the pcm with level 1. Nice change - ran for about a week and got to enjoy the gauges too. EGT max got to 1126 and I did a lot of WOT up to about 90 something. Don't know what would happen if I was pullin' my 15K fiver. Boost kicked in much earlier - around 35 mph instead of 50, and a little higher, from 12 to 14 lbs +.

Ok - I had to try level 2. Very nice - lots of engine noise (i am guessing more fuel and more injector work). Lot's of power, more heat and a little more boost.

OK - I had to try level 3. Very, Very nice. Even more power, but lots of black smoke. I'm in CA so I have backed off to level 1. After all that's what I bought it for - towing. Been great fun so far. But I didn't buy it for the fun did I? I told the wife it was practical.
