hello everybody this might be a silly question but I have a 1975 ford f150 v8 360 c6 a/t is there some kind a security lock that came with these model trucks so the hood would lock so nobody could just open the hood and take the battery, is there an add on I could install. if anybody can give me some info that would be great.
check the 78 and 79 broncos in the salvage yards. most used to have them. or look at other 73 to 79 trucks. sometimes it can be your locky day. the big wrecking yard in the biggest town next to me has quite a few 73 to 79 trucks.

I used a cable out of an '80 model truck and the latch out of a '90 or '91 van. Easy installation but I did have to drill out the hole in my firewall a bit to fit the end of the cable through and I haven't looked for a grommet to protect it yet. Works great, though. I think the later '80s trucks integrated the cable pull assembly with the parking brake assembly so stick with the early 80's trucks. Should be plenty of those in the yards.
