I need the chrome (or stainless) piece that goes between the back door handle and the door for my 52 panel. I can find the rubber but not the metal part. Anyone with an idea?
Ford was very frugal, reusing leftover parts or dies from previous years for low volume vehicles like panels. I'd look at catalogs of repro parts like door and trunk handles for 30s-40s Ford passenger cars to see if they look familiar. Like the taillights Ford used thru 56 were from either 41 or 42 passenger cars (can't remember which year at the moment)
Thanks for the tip. Will be looking in earlier years.

Both Mac's and Dennis Carpenter lists the complete rear door handle,7c-8226600-A. Mac's is $60 while Carpenter's is $50. Just because their listed doesn't mean they have them though, you'll have to check with them.
I got the above information from Vic and Jerry over at the Ford Barn board, thanks guys.

Bill, how about his rear door handle escutcheon, any interchangability?
It's part of the handle: 7C-8226600-A. Not available by itself. No pic in the book, and no part number listed anywhere. The handle fits 1948/56 panels.
I would give Sacramento Vintage Parts a call( they have a website too). If they don't have it, you will have a tough time finding it. Good luck. BTW- They don't just carry F100 parts, they carry some really old hard to find stuff also.
