A truck drove by me today and I saw the Harley Emblems and I told the guy I was with that is the best truck. But as I kept on looking at it the truck had two tone paint black/tan the Harley comes in black or marrone. King Ranch 20" wheels the Harley should have 22" chrome. No Harley Davidson sticker across the bed. Is this guy trying to fool people or does this sound like a real Harley edition F150?
probably trying to fool people, but i think this guy probably realized its easier to build your own Harley F150 then buying the actual truck. Thats what I'd do if i was thinking about buying a Harley F150...
I saw a similar thing on a Mustang GT today. It was a plain jane RED GT with a Mach 1 shaker hood and a 40th anniversary badges and Mach 1 badges. The car had 3 different WRONG badges on it, and not a single right one.
There is nothing wrong with making a clone, but people shouldn't try to pass it off as the real thing.
They should at least make it the way it should be. If I was going to make a Harley clone I wouldn't use a King of the Ranch. Just like tylus said about the mustang that was a clone mach 1 and it had 40th aniversery badges too. Just make a good clone.
We sell conversion kits, and a lot of seperate pieces as well.
The harley emblems are a neat piece for people who are harley enthusiasts, not necessarily trying to clone their truck as an HD F-150. Personally I have sold about 400 of the Harley F-150 emblems to eager customers.
tylus, the conversion you mentioned is a very popular one, and If I would ever get a Mustang GT, I'd like to make it look like a Cobra, and possibly make it perform close if I could justify spending $5k on a supercharger.
like I said, clone it all you like, but don't pretend it is something it ain't...I want to supercharge my GT also and get the Cobra hood/bumper, but I ain't slapping a Cobra sticker on it when I do...maybe a snake eater sticker though
thecheif96 has a point...I see lots of guys with Harley apparel and stickers and they don't have one in the driveway...wierd, but I guess it's their money.
One of my dad's close friend owned a harley for about a year, and has shirts, sun glasses, stickers, everything, but he doesn't have it any more, but still wears everything proudly.
