Is their any way to check if the TPS is reading accurately without taking it to the dealer? They called today and said the crew cab is ready to go (new trans and pedal assy). Asked if tps read full 100% at WOT this time and they didn't know.....One in the truck only read 75% at WOT when we when for the test drive to see what was wrong with the trans.

5 volts would be 100% but that doesn't happen 4.5 volts is all you will see on a stock pedal.
Thanks Jim, I'm going to check the voltage on the one in my 5 speed tomorrow. (It's the one that was in the crew that read 75%). The IIRC is that the scanner that ford uses? I didn't ask, the tech used a labtop.
Test results: read anywhere from 3.70-3.75 volts So no where near the 4.5-5 volts to show WOT. Question is how much performance is lost on a 5 speed? I saw what not showing WOT did to an automatic. Any way to adjust the TPS or am I looking at spending another $300 for a pedal assy?
It's going to be the same loss for a 5 speed too. The TPS is the only link to the engine that regulates the fuel and boost. It's like putting a 1 in spacer under your gas pedal on your gasser.
You can try using WD40 and clean it. Search the diesels forums for pedal mod. It may help you get that extra voltage out of your pedal before you go and spend $300 on a new pedal. You might have luck just getting the sensor instead of the entire pedal assy. IDK
