If my truck stalls out or before I start it (when the key is turned to accessory) my oil light is on.
This is normal right? I know it's a noob question and I'm pretty sure it's normal but I just dont like to take chances with an oil light.
My idle is set pretty low and when I was at a redlight today the truck died. I looked down and to my horror the oil light was on and I kinda freaked a little bit.
I guess I worry about too many things when it comes to my truck.
The oil light comes on when you turn the key to on, and it may flicker when idling. The oil sender switch that activates the light is a POS, and leak oil pass the threads, so if the light stays on, that might be the problem. The switch fits most Fords that have an oil light, so finding a new one is as close as your local autoparts store.
