Differences in 4r70w vs. E4OD

Guys on the 4r70w trans is there is a speed sensor on top of the trans? Other than that is there any other differences?

The 4R70W is the new name for the AODE.
The 4R100 is the new name for the E4OD.

So the answer is EVERYTHING!
Like comparing a Ranger and an F350 dually.
It does the same sort of thing, but obviously not the same.

Oh, perhaps the bolts that hold the trans pan might swap.

When I said everything, I meant everything, and they don't even look alike, other than the torque converter sitting in the front, and the output shaft sticks out the back.

Solenoid pack and computer, no doubt, but wiring I don't know about, but would bet they are different as well.

The C6 and C4 are more alike than the 4R70W and the 4R100, and they (C4 and the C6) are totaly different.
