I doesn't feel any different w/o the disc. From what I understand,the disc helps keep a constant pressure on the fuel being sent out inbetween pumps (when the lobe is down and the pump is ready to push it out again)
That makes sense to me, so it function like a reservoir of pressure, like in the RVs with the water pump and the reservoir tank in line I guess, to maintain the constant pressure. I had read that the function of the dampner was to stop the several impulses of the fuel pump.

The washer was cooper or bronze?

I thought it was copper. It may had been bronze, I dunno?

Thank You !!!!!

I read all thru the various posts and have to say,"Thank You" for a well written and descriptive how to. It took me only 3 hrs to change the FP without removing the Turbo. Again, Thank You to all who took the time to contribute to the string.
