460 efi

hey all,new to this forum just wandering i have a 94 f-350 with an efi 460. im having trouble finding some good performance cylinder heads for it. does anyone know of any companies tht make them? thanks

Have you checked edelbrock's web site? Ford racing is another possibility.

ive checked edelbrock but they dont say what years they will work on i checked ford racing i think they have a set but they are really really expensive

Surely heads are not the first mod on this motor... you already have a complete exhaust system, upgraded cam, and an EEC Tuner or Tweecer right?

yes

yes but ive done some research and have read that a cam is almost worthless unless you done somthing about the heads because of how restrictive they are.

It's been my experience that the factory cams are needlessly restrictive in many cases, leaving a lot on the table, but it depends upon where in the RPM range you want more power. The factory heads are sized to provide good torque over the typical truck low rpm powerband. Aftermarket heads have larger ports and valves designed to make more high rpm HP, but often at the expense of low rpm torque. If it's more upper rpm HP and worse fuel milage you want, then get heads. But if more low rpm torque and possibly better fuel milage is what you need, then look no further than a cam change.
