I got mine from Dinnis Carpenter for a 4 core radiator for $100. The part number was D7TZ-8146-A.

D7TZ-8146-A is NOT for a 4 row radiator core, it's the shroud for standard cooling, extra cooling or with air conditioning. The top tank width is between: 2 1/2 / 2 3/4 inches wide.

D7TZ-8146-D is the shroud for the super cooling radiator. The top tank on a super cooling radiator not only has a 3 1/4 / 3 3/4 inch wide top tank, but the radiator core support itself is different, having a wider opening for the super cooling radiator.

Either shroud fits a 351M or a 400 ONLY.

Going junkyarding...

Ford fan shrouds have a moulded in ID number at the upper left corner of the shroud. There are 3 shrouds used for 1977/79 351M/400 F100/350's & Bronco's. Here are the ID numbers and what radiator they fit.

D7TA-FA = D7TZ-8146-B = Standard Cooling Radiator

D7TA-AA = D7TZ-8146-A = Standard/Extra Cooling / Air Conditioning Radiator

D7TA-SA = D7TZ-8146-D = Super Cooling Radiator

Numberdummy,

Would you happen to have a part number for a 77 F350 with a 460,C6 and air. My shroud was missing when I bought the truck.

Thanks, Randy

There's only one for F100/350 and it fits all the 460's 1973/79.

D3TZ-8146-D .. Fan Shroud ~ Marked On Upper Left Corner: D4TA-CA / D4TA-CB

IHC, Good luck finding one.

Last one I knew of was 3 years ago.

It cost a guy $260.00.

They are very rare.

Rockauto doesn't even list the fan shroud for that model.

National Parts Depot has a large list of fan shrouds, many of which are labeled as "new". One of these new listings is a shroud for the 73-79 F350 with a 460, super-extra cooling and ac with casting numbers D4TA-CA, D4TA-CB. 120.00 each. Also in this listing is the number F-8146-14. Does this look like good bet?

I just checked FTE sponsor DIRECTFORDPARTS online parts locater for several 1970's truck fan shrouds, and they have TWO available. DIRECTFORDPARTS offers a DISCOUNT to FTE members. They are listed among the site sponsors at the top of the page..if you don't see it, click on the refresh button till it comes up.

Here are the two fan shrouds available from DIRECTFORDPARTS.

D3TZ-8146-C List Price: $109.63 / FTE member net: $77.49

This shroud fits: 1968/76 360 and 390 engines with standard or extra cooling. It also can be used on 1965/67's. This shroud will not fit the super cooling radiator.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
D7TZ-8146-A List Price: $132.22 / FTE member net: $93.45

This shroud fits 1977/79 351M/400 with a standard/extra cooling and A/C radiator. It will not work on the super cooling radiator.

Note: to check parts numbers on Direct's online locator...remove the hyphens from the parts numbers. Type them like this: d3tz8146c or d7tz8146a

DIRECTFORDPARTS IS A FORD DEALER (GAUDIN FORD IN LAS VEGAS, NV). IF YOU CALL, ASK FOR KELLY.
