National Parts Depot has a large list of fan shrouds, many of which are labeled as "new". One of these new listings is a shroud for the 73-79 F350 with a 460, super-extra cooling and ac with casting numbers D4TA-CA, D4TA-CB. 120.00 each. Also in this listing is the number F-8146-14. Does this look like good bet?
Looks like you may have lucked out.
People were paying a fortune for them because they were obsolete and mainly unavailable.
I needed a shroud for my 79 bronco after the Battery went through it. I found a shround on a late 70's pickup with a 351W. This shroud is proper DIA, Height and Depth. BUT, it is 3inches narrower than the 351M version with AC. Also the 351W shroud has the fan hole cetered to the shroud. Radiator in the Bronco is 3inches of center to the engine. I cut and drilled a 3inch x 25 inch plate to offset the shroud and take up the left over space. it mounted to the stock holes on one side and to the plate on the drivers side. cheap and easy. cools great.

No 351W in F100/350 till 1980. If you have the 351M or 400 engine, a new shroud is still available from Ford.
i guess it doesnt matter, the engine looked smaller. the shroud may have been narrow because the truck may not have had AC, didn't look. height and dIA were good. so it I went with it.

On the upper left corner of any Ford fan shroud, there is a molded in Ford ID number there. If you know what it is, I can decode it.
