Rotor size

Rotor size

I need to replace the front rotors on my 97' expy what is the stock rotor size and would there be any benefit to going to a larger rotor?Also has this forum reached a general consensous about drilled/slotted rotors?

I don't think you can go larger without changing wheels, calipers, mounts etc. etc.

I don't know the stock size off-hand, not that it matters really...just go get some replacements for your year truck.

Drilled rotors are a waste of money in a truck. Slotted are okay. The help remove gases and can improve the feel of the brakes.

You are better off with a set of Brembo blanks or something like that. With drilling or slotting rotors, you are removing surface area for the pads to grab.
